Maurice Turner is from the Southside of Chicago, and his current home city is Atlanta, Georgia. He has been stepping for 25-26 years since 1994-95. Between 1997 and 2004, he won nine wins in the WLSC and the Masters in 2000 with partner Tina Moore. Maurice believes Stepping should have been on a larger mainstream platform already. It is the most rhythmic and fluent dance in our community. His experience makes his perspective unique regarding teaching, culture, uniformity, and rhythm.
